How TrackFixer handles your tracks, photos and information.

At a glance

TrackFixer is developed by Sergey Grishin. This policy describes the current local track-repair and photo/collage features for iPhone and iPad, this website, and support correspondence.

You do not need a TrackFixer account. Track files and selected photos are processed on your device. TrackFixer has no developer-operated server that receives those files, no advertising SDKs, and no built-in analytics or behavioral tracking. Apple services and destinations you choose can still process data as described below.

Tracks and local settings

When you select a GPX, FIT or TCX file through Files, Open In or the Share Extension, TrackFixer creates a working copy. A track may contain precise route coordinates, timestamps, distance, altitude, speed, heart rate, cadence, power, calories and device information, depending on the file. The app uses the available data to import, display, analyse, repair and export your activity, and to prepare route illustrations.

The original file is not overwritten. Working tracks, repair drafts, selected-image copies and generated outputs are stored locally. Language and appearance preferences are also stored on the device. TrackFixer does not request live location tracking or access to Apple Health.

Apple Maps and other system services

Map-related features use Apple MapKit. Directions requests send route endpoints and a transport type; map previews request the relevant map area; place-name lookup uses route locations, search terms, a search area and language settings. Apple may process these requests and associated technical information under its own privacy terms. These features can require an internet connection; TrackFixer is not entirely offline.

System file and photo pickers may retrieve the items you select from iCloud or another provider. Such transfers are handled by the selected service. iOS and Apple may also process system diagnostics according to your device settings. See Apple Maps & Privacy and the Apple Privacy Policy.

Photos and the pictures you create

TrackFixer uses the system photo picker for images you explicitly select; it does not request ongoing access to your entire photo library. Selected images are copied into local working storage. A new JPEG is rendered on the device for each completed output, without copying the source photo’s EXIF or GPS metadata.

The visible image can still reveal personal information. Route illustrations show the full route, including its start and end, place labels and available activity statistics. The photo itself may show people or locations. Review the finished image before sharing it. The system Save Image action uses the permission to add an image to Photos when required.

Saving, sharing and external links

You choose whether to save or share an exported track or image. The system passes that output to the destination you select, which then handles it under its own terms. TrackFixer has no direct Strava upload or social-network sign-in in this version.

Partner links open an external service only when selected. A partner-report action prepares an email that you can review and send. The voluntary developer-support screen can copy a public payment address to the device clipboard; the app does not read your clipboard or execute a cryptocurrency transfer. The copied address is local to the device and is set to expire after five minutes. Any transfer you independently make through a wallet is governed by that wallet and network; public blockchains can expose transaction details that the developer cannot erase.

Storage and automatic cleanup

Working copies remain available while a repair, photo editor, export or system share needs them. Normal workflow cleanup removes copies that are no longer needed. On a new launch after the app process has stopped, TrackFixer also attempts to remove abandoned private working files left by an interrupted session. No history browser or automatic recovery of an unfinished session is offered in this version.

File-protection or storage errors can delay cleanup. Failed deletions are retried where safe; a folder that could not be inspected at startup may wait until the next launch after the app process has stopped. There is no guaranteed background deletion deadline. Ready files received through the Share Extension are retained until imported and their handoff is finished, even if they are old.

Automatic cleanup does not delete your originals, files you saved to Files, images you saved to Photos, or language and appearance preferences. Manage saved outputs in the corresponding app or service. Deleting TrackFixer through iOS removes its local app data; offloading the app can retain data. Copies held by other services or backups are managed through those services.

Support correspondence and your choices

If you email trialfixer@proton.me, Sergey Grishin receives your email address and whatever message, attachments or diagnostic information you choose to send. This information is used to answer the request, investigate the issue and follow up as needed. Email is handled using Proton Mail and your email provider under their respective terms; see the Proton Mail Privacy Policy.

Correspondence is kept as needed to handle the request and related follow-up, or to meet applicable legal obligations. You can ask about the information you supplied or request its correction or deletion by emailing the same address. The developer cannot remotely access or delete the app’s local tracks and photos on your device. Please do not send private routes or photos unless they are necessary and you choose to share them.

You choose which files and photos to import and whether to save or share an output. Map requests can start automatically when you open a track preview, run a repair or create route labels. This version does not offer a separate switch to disable map-network requests. Manage Photos permissions in iOS Settings. For privacy questions or requests about information you have sent, contact Sergey Grishin at the address above.
